28 July, 2022 Starkraft participated in the largest dispatch of battery storage energy to-date. The energy was used in Ireland to help supply the grid with over 60MWh of energy storage within two hours to support Ireland’s electricity market in critical times.

28 July, 2022 – European gas prices increased earlier in the week following Russia’s announcement that they are set to further reduce supplies to the region. The increase surged around 30% in the short space of two days.
22 July, 2022 – A recent report from the IPCC has reaffirmed the need for UK businesses to adopt more environmentally friendly behaviour. Widespread adoption of smart meters is a recommended method to reduce CO2 emissions and create a greener grid.
21st July – Record-breaking temperatures were recorded across the county which also saw solar power in the UK producing a quarter of the UK’s power demand. Generation peaked at 7.77GW which surprised experts as it is more usual to see power demand peak during the spring when it is lighter and cooler.
20th July – British homeowners could cut their energy bill by up to £1,878 a year by installing renewable energy onto their property. The study carried out by WWF and Scottish Power also found that homes could cut 95% of carbon emissions over the technology’s lifetime.

19th July – The High Court has ruled the government net zero strategies as inadequate, deemed too vague for targets to be met. The court has ruled that the government must return by March 2023 with an efficient net zero plan for parliament. This has been classed as a breakthrough moment for environmental groups.
