The Transport Committee said in their recently released report that the government must highlight specific pathways for the development and deployment of technologies.

New energy price cap prompts call for help on bills

23 February, 2023 – Ofgem has announced it will be cutting the amount suppliers can charge households for energy, however bills are still expected to rise to £3,000 on average come April. There is now increasing pressure for the government to stop the increase as the new price cap will reduce the cost of support.

Energy firms told to pay out over forced meter fittings

21 February, 2023 – Energy firms who wrongfully fitted prepayment meters in customers’ homes by force, must now begin compensating those who were affected. The announcement comes from the Ofgem Chief Executive Johnathan Brearley, who also stated that fines will be issued if any systematic problems are identified.
