About the company:
OnGen was established in 2015 to develop a streamlined process for SMEs to assess the feasibility of deploying a range of renewable energy technologies. The business was founded by Chris Trigg and Andrew Bright, together they have 40 years experience in the retail energy supply market and renewable energy technologies. Chris was a founding director and shareholder of retail energy supplier Spark Energy, Andrew is a former director of WSP. With a grant from Scottish Enterprise and early stage investment from the likes of Ian Marchant, former CEO of SSE, Mark Dickinson, CEO of Inspired Energy and the Scottish Investment Bank the “OnGen Expert™” was launched in 2016 with 4 technology options. The OnGen Expert has won numerous awards, most recently the Renewable Energy Association named it the best smart energy system.
OnGen Expert now includes 10 renewable technologies and is joined by two other digital platforms. OnEfficiency, an energy efficiency feasibility tool and OnSupply, a brokerage service that can be used to find the cheapest renewable energy contracts.
