It’s been another exciting month at OnGen with more local authorities signed up to use the OnGen Expert™ software following our free trial offer. There was another software upgrade, improvements to the website including a demo request feature and we presented at the ICAEW CFO Conference and Finance for the Future awards ceremony.
Latest OnGen Expert Update
We updated the software early last week and have more exciting updates in the pipeline.
The new features in the latest release include an improved reporting module, domestic consumption profiles, and an improved customer navigation. The response to the changes has been well received.
We also included the most recent Ofgem published feed-in tariffs and renewable heat incentives.
OnGen Expert for Energy Brokers
We published a piece that highlights just how useful our software is for energy brokers (sometimes referred to as third-party intermediaries (TPIs)) in this post.
Special Offer for Local Authorities
We offered local authorities the chance to trial the OnGen Expert free of charge for five sites and five technology options per site. It also included a new payment option to access the software on a pay as you go basis (PAYG) rather than paying for an annual license.

Finance for the Future/ICAEW CFO Conference
We presented at the ICAEW CFO Conference on the 13th October and in the evening presented the OnGen Expert at the Finance for the Future Awards.
The event was excellent and despite being pipped to first prize we received great feedback from the judging panel which included the Global Chairman of Deloittes and CFO of Adidas recognizing the scalability of the software.
Just to be shortlisted in the Innovative new idea category was a great achievement and testament to our progress so far.
Survey

What’s next
The OnGen Expert is continually developing. We’re currently working on adding more renewable and low carbon technologies to the platform, as well as improving our customer services functionality and incorporating it online along with help resources for our users.
